A Poisoned Legacy

I have just found a five blue ribbon review for A Poisoned Legacy, from Romance Junkies. It is amazing what you find when you have half an hour to kill and you trawl the internet!

Do visit the site and check it out - www.romancejunkies.com

"A Poisoned Legacy is a must read! Mrs Blake had me from page one! I could not put the book down."Kimberley, Romance Junkies.

Excellent news - or surprise - Margaret. 'I could not put the book down' sounds like a cliche but it's truly meant, and I've used the phrase myself. When someone said that about my crime thriller Pain Wears No Mask, I did wonder if perhaps the printer's binding glue had prevented the reader from putting down the book...

Ha ha, Nik - it could be that the reader's fingers got caked in clue but I hope not!

Thank you, Beth and Elizabeth.
It came a wee bit late as the novel
was published in October, but I am not complaining!

Well done Margaret! Am I jealous or envious? I'll settle for both.

Come on Mick, you have had fantastic reviews yourself!
But thank you for your generous comment.

You're right, it's amazing where the internet can take you! It's great to read about fellow writers. Have any of you experienced difficulties with amazon.co.uk recently?
Please come over and visit my blog, where I've been discussing writing and getting published. The first book in my series of crime thrillers is (finally) hitting the shelves in June so my blog is busy with news of Author Visits etc at the moment. Pop over for a look if you're interested.
By the way, I was interested in what you said about your characters. In my genre, the characters have to commit certain acts, for the sake of the plot, but all too often waltz off in entirely different directions. There's often a tension, I find, between where I need my characters to go, and where they want to go. And of course, the plot has to work and the characters have to be believable... I hope you visit my blog so I can find you again as this looks like a really interesting blog. (I'm not very good at finding my way around the blog.)
